Scope of Work: ~7000 sq. ft. of Self Level and Epoxy Coatings

Surface Solutions was contracted to build a hyper level floor that will be used to construct a new production line for a glass factory.  The production line required a floor that was level prior to applying epoxy coatings.  Based on the durability requirements for the production line, an epoxy primer with full sand broadcast was utilized under the self level.  Project schedule was built around the equipment delivery and production shut down.
The system was built as follows:
Grind existing concrete with bush hammers in order to create a Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) of 4 to bond self level system. Furnish and install CTS RapidSet TXP Fast epoxy primer with full sand broadcast to rejection. Remove excess sand and install self leveling pins.  Pins were installed relative to the highest point of the floor. Furnish and install CTS RapidSet LevelFlor using an Imer Koine4 pump.  Material averaged about 3/4in depth. Grind newly poured self level with low grit metal bond diamonds in order to create a CSP 3 to bond epoxy coatings. Furnish and install Sherwin Williams MPE epoxy as base coat.  System was installed with 2 different colors to create a layout in the floor. Furnish and install Sherwin Williams 4850 Polyaspartic Urethane as top coat.
